if it wasnt for michael jackson people wouldnt be afraid of getting nose jobs. if it wasnt for his crazy girl singing, people wouldnt hate justin beiber. if it wasnt for the fashion in the 80's (at least here in america) then people now days wouldnt be all gothic and emo. if it wasnt for disco we wouldnt have punk music.
lol my point here is that i wish that we could have skipped the 80's and 90's. if i could travel back in time, i would go to the 60's a day before the trash men wrote bird is the word, and then i would write it, and go into the future and sue family guy for using it. just saying that would be pretty funny. imagine telling your grandchildren that. "i traveled back in time when i was 13, i wrote a very famous song, then traveled backed to the future, sued family guy and made MILLIONS. and thats the story of how your pony got gold teeth, now lets talk about *how i met your mother*" lol famous tv show right there. i think im babling on but i cant stop typing because im just saying whats on my mind. random 13 year old thoughts....god help us all.... anyway thats why i didnt like the 80's and 90's.

Okay, well, if we didn't have the 80's or 90's, there wouldn't be any of the good nintendo systems or any sega systems. Zelda wouldn't exist, neither would conker's bad fur day. Mario, megaman, sonic, none would exist. Home consoles were the start of home gaming. None of the consoles would exist. We might still have arcades, but you would have to go find one. The gaming industry would be fucked.

It wouldn't be any 8-bit or 16-bit consoles then to mod. You are talking about Michael Jackson, the king of pop, he was ahead of his time. It seems you really doesn't know much about music history when you mention Justin Bieber, lol.

the 80's and early 90's were glorious times for arcade and console games alike, I didn't live through the 80's but I wish I did to experience the arcades back then. skullkid is right, without the 80's or 90's the gaming industry would not be as it is.

Personally I prefer the arcades of the early to mid 90s. But that's just me.

I haven't played an arcade game still. I would like too, but I don't even know where one is. And the closest city is 3 1/2 hours away.

My towns school only has like... 180 people in it. We're a really small town only 1x1 mile. And we even have a bar with a few arcades in it lol

If it wasnt for the PSX we would still have arcades. For the first time people could play a game at home on a console that was as good or better than the arcades.
arcades were always game manufacturers place to show off.
the playstation changed that and to a lesser extent, the Saturn.
all of a sudden arcades just couldnt keep the traffic coming in. First they went up to $50 then 1.00, 1.50 to make up losses and after that they all just started shutting their doors.
Im still bitter that production on the saturn stopped so soon. I never did own a PSX. I had a dreamcast, another great system that just... failed.
and im sad to see that the arcades failed too.
Only way to keep one open anymore is to put it in a Bowling alley and even then its barely going to break even if that.

Most of the greatest consoles fail in some way or another.
By the way, that dancing video was atrocious.

That console line is very true. That's why I use my engineering hobby to fix as many hardware faults as I can!
