The company I used to work for was kind enough to let me have it. Perfect little test monitor for my setup.

I'm assuming it does RGB?

You should modify it and convert it into a TINY arcade cabinet. hehe

Yeah, it does RGB with external Sync, Y/C, Composite and YPbPr.
It's a broadcast quality monitor (the high res version, woohoo!) and these were (and sometimes still are) typically used in a lot of production rack setups. They're really durable and great for field work/portability. The handle on top is fantastic and the build quality is fantastic. There's a reason this PVM line was the industry standard for years.

Lol, the mini arcade is a pretty good idea. Show those guys who jam a console into a portable unit up Smile
In all seriousness, I probably won't do it though.

A couple more internet pics:

A side story:
I took it back on a plane and my checked luggage was 63 lbs, therefore rendering it overweight and I was going to have to pay a $50 charge. I opted to take it as carry-on instead (bringing my checked bag down to 45 lbs. I didn't think it was THAT heavy). Man, did I ever get a lot of questions. My favorites were, "So, do you always travel with an oscilloscope?" and "You do know that there are TVs on the plane, right?"

ive got a 13" ademco security monitor that i opened up the other day and its basically just a tube hooked up to a small s-video/composite board. It has a plug with 4 wires on it leading from that board to the tube they were even nice enough to color them red green blue and white.

should be simple to add more connectors to it.

Ive looked at doing this to various tvs but the wires arent laid out like that. they used their own color code.

I tried doing that with my rca but didn't have success. Certain crts don't use straight rgb to the tube is my guess.

i had a sears tv that had a spot for a scart port on the pcb but it got thrown away after my basement flooded. that would have also been a good one to modify but i never got to look at it further.

i lost a lot of good shit in that flood. several boxes of pcbs and console parts, several crt tvs, several working consoles and the list goes on.

the good thing is that i dont live there anymore and my workshop is no longer underground.
