Disclaimer: If you hire me to modify something, send it to you and something breaks, I probably can fix your console but you pay for shipping both ways and pay me to repair it.  My work comes with no guarantee that your system will run as it should forever.  I always make a video demonstrating the hardware functioning properly before I mail out the system.  Once the system is out of my hands I will not be held responsible for how it functions or what happens to it.

I don't sell uninstalled circuits or do-it-yourself products.  If you really want to do this stuff yourself then do it all yourself, please don't ask me to do half of it for you.  By commission I only build products that are fully built and ready to play.

Please don't complain about my prices or give me a hard time, I don't want to serve customers who don't like my service.

*New* A lot of my older work done to people's systems was very poor craftmanship, that's just what it was at the time.  For any previous customer if you're willing to pay for shipping both ways of any piece of hardware I previously worked on then I will update the internal work and clean up as much of the mess as I currently can for free.  Lately I've been using a very minimal amount of hot glue and switched over to using more zip ties and other things that are much easier to undo.

All prices are in canadian dollars, the customer must pay for all shipping.

SNES mods:

SuperFX Overclocking:

I can build an overclocked superfx cart of starfox 1, starfox 2, stunt race fx, or vortex (doom doesn't overclock very fast).  The deluxe versions all run at around 45 mhz but cost much more because they involve much more work.

The donor cart needs to be american or japanese.  I don't build these out of european carts since my system is american so I'd have no way to test european cartridges.

I personally recommend using stunt race fx as a donor for any overclocked superfx game.  Here's the complete list of compatible donors.

The following carts can be used as donors for building an overclocked Starfox 2:
Stunt race fx
Dirt trax fx
Doom

Note: Using stunt race fx as a donor for your starfox 2 cart will be able to save scores.

The following carts can be used as donors for building an overclocked Starfox 1 or overclocked Vortex:
Stunt race fx
Dirt trax fx
Doom

The following carts can be used as donors for building an overclocked Stunt Race FX:
Stunt race fx

Building the cart costs 120$ parts and labour for the deluxe version.  This price doesn't include a label I can install a custom label for 15$ extra.  I can do a simpler overclock which doesn't go as fast to either stunt race fx, doom, and the original starfox with a glob top pcb.  The simple overclock costs 40$ and again you need to provide me with a donor and pay for shipping.  Stunt race fx runs at around 30 mhz, doom runs at 28.322 mhz and the glob top starfox I'm not sure how fast it runs with the simple overclock.

Since some gsu chips go faster than others I will only clock games up to safe speeds to avoid building a cart that locks, freezes, crashes or glitches.

Here's the current speed for each game:

Starfox: 45 mhz
Starfox 2: 45 mhz
Stunt Race FX: 45 mhz
Vortex: 45 mhz (maybe I need to test this game more)

Doom is the only game I've been unable to get running at high speeds.

Other SNES mods:

I can install a cxa2075 circuit into a model 2 or a onechip model 1 snes.  I'll build and install the video encoder circuit for 100$ plus the price of shipping your system back and forth.  I've done this with great success in both a snes mini and a onechip model 1 snes.  I also tried this mod in a regular model 1 (non-onechip) but the results were nothing special.  All snes mini / junior consoles have the onechip ppu so this is the easiest way to know you're buying the right model.  Installing the sony cxa2075 greatly improves the s-video sharpess, gives you rgb, and removes the translucent bar in the middle of the screen on both rgb and s-video.  Currently this video upgrade produces the best known video quality on the snes for both rgb and s-video.

Demonstration video.  Right screen: Unmodified model 1 snes, left screen: My snes mini with a sony cxa2075 video encoder.  These are s-video captures.

I can also build an ac adapter for your super scope so it no longer needs batteries and can simply be plugged into the wall to get power.  This mod I've never been commissioned for but I'm guessing it'll cost around 60$ to do plus the cost of parts.

NES / Famicom mods:

Viletim's NESRGB installation ($100):

http://etim.net.au/nesrgb/

Drakon's modding service price guide 4COWNs6

Drakon's modding service price guide LYZA0iX

This is the amazing Viletim product that gives you interference free rgb, s-video and composite in your real nes / famicom using nothing but the real hardware.  This device lets you play your games in the original composite pallette.  More information about this product can be found here:

https://16bitgamer.canadian-forum.com/t332-viletim-nesrgb#2709

You can buy the viletim NESRGB kit here:

http://etim.net.au/nesrgb/

I'm offering to install this device into your nes / famicom for 100$, but you need to either pay me to order the kit for you and have the kit shipped here or you need to buy the kit yourself and mail it to me with your console.  If you want this kit installed into a NES 2 or AV famicom you will need to buy and mail me the 8$ adapter board that relocates the kit so it fits inside the case.

I will install the nesrgb kit into any model of nes / famicom except for the original famicom due to lack of space inside the case.

I've ordered some three-way toggle switches for the pallette selection because the slider switch is large and would require a much bigger hole in your case.

Old switch:

Drakon's modding service price guide SOKkzTh

My switch idea:

Drakon's modding service price guide Ua2ILhN

There's only 3 selectable pallettes so a 3-way toggle switch makes the most sense to me assuming that it works. Once the toggle switches arrive I'll test the wiring and confirm if they work with this.

For any system where the customer doesn't want a pallette switch I'll install the kit with it set to the original composite pallette which is exactly how the picture looks from an unmodified system, just now the picture is in perfectly clear rgb and s-video.  If someone wants the switchless system set to another pallette I can do that too.

For the AV famicom rgb and s-video will be wired into the snes multi av port.  For models of the nes / famicom that don't come with a multi av port I'll install the supplied ports that come with the nesrgb kit.

AV Famicom Audio Fix:

Before and after video of the sound mod:

I managed to fix the av famicom audio circuit.  If your av famicom is here I can fix the audio circuit for 35$.

Famicom english fanslated carts:

Drakon's modding service price guide A5J9o4e

Drakon's modding service price guide HgtDSab

Drakon's modding service price guide JTdbfa8

Drakon's modding service price guide A8eqG2z

*Note* 50% of the money made from these conversions will be donated to the authors of these hacks unless they don't have a way for me to donate the money.

All of these games have been patched to run english fanslations.  The reason why I made these is because the audio chips contained in these carts never sound the same when being recreated on a flash cartridge.  I don't expect too many people to be interested in these they're mostly japan only games.

To build one of these I'll need you to supply me the original cart and the conversion is 75$ parts and labour for madara / esper dream 2, just breed is 90$.  I can build other conversions for certain rare / hard to find / expensive games as well just ask me for availability.

Any reproduction game that needs a new label having a label printed will cost extra money and time depending if I can find someone to print labels.

Sega genesis mods:

I can buy and install tiidos crystal clear audio mod in the current pcb revisions of the genesis 2:

va0, va1, va1.8

Or the model 1 va7.

Buying and installing this circuit will cost 90$

Demonstration video:

I can add s-video to the genesis 3, genesis 1, and models of the genesis 2 that come with a video encoder that is capable of outputting s-video.  I probably can also add s-video to a cdx.  I'll do this mod for 35$ on a console and on the cdx I have no idea what I'd charge.  Adding s-video to a genesis 2 that comes with the samsung encoder I can also do but it's a lot more work so it will cost a lot more.  Personally I like the 32x s-video quality the most.

Sega 32x:

I can install s-video in your 32x for 60$.  You have to pay for all shipping of your 32x.  The s-video from the 32x is superior to the s-video you'll get out of any known s-video mod in the genesis and it looks just as perfect with all 32x games.  The 32x s-video mod gives you s-video for all your sega genesis / megadrive games.

Demonstration video:

PC Engine / Turbografx 16 / Turboduo:

I can add s-video quite easily.  So far I've only tested this on a pc engine.  The mod would cost 60$.

Demonstration video:

I can build a rgb circuit for the pc engine. My circuit is three transistors since that's what gave me the best results on my rgb tv. The circuit costs 60$ to build, I will need the customer to supply an av connector for me to wire up.

That's everything I can think of right now.  Send me a private message for requests of anything else.

*update* I now have the ability to build overclocked superfx carts myself. I can make everything except for the cartridge label. I still need clients to provide me with a donor superfx cart of either doom or winter gold.

Price increase because I'm overwhelmed with commissions and it's hard finding time to do so many. Anyone who's stuff is here before the price increase gets the old prices from before the increase.

Now that I have the superfx overclocking process more perfected and streamlined I've dropped the price down to 100$. It also helps that it's now much easier to find donor carts.

Also lowered the cost of building and installing the sega genesis crystal clear audio mod to 100$ since I can now purchase pre-assembled pcbs of it.

I recently had a customer complain that his system I built a long time ago stopped functioning right.  This sort of thing happens, but what irks me is the customer says I should pay for shipping both ways and fix the machine for free.  I've added a disclaimer making people fully aware that my prices don't include any form of a warranty.

Added the Viletim NESRGB installation service.  I'll eventually remove the old nes / famicom rgb mod from the list but people can still hire me to do the old mod if they really want it by contacting me privately.
