Rapid Fire NES Controller Non NES Advantage Empty
PostSubject: Rapid Fire NES Controller Non NES Advantage   Rapid Fire NES Controller Non NES Advantage EmptySun Feb 05, 2012 7:32 pm

I wanted to share my current idea I am working on with the forum. I was playing silver surfer and realized the game would be a little easier if I had a rapid fire button instead of smashing my thumb into the fire button. I looked into what options I had and everything that was rapid fire from the NES era wasn't what I wanted. The NES max controller D pad is too quirky and I don't care for the arcade style NES Advantage.

So what I am working on is taking a LM555 timer and trying to modify a brick controller to have rapid fire switches. As of right now i have just been reading up on the timer I am thinking about using and about the nes controller.

Yeah I've read about similar circuits for arcade controllers and home systems being built before. Especially for raiden!
