Drakon - regardless of what i do with the extra x-eye i bought i already cleaned the contacts between the main board and the sub board and got it to boot. its now a working system and i can sell it for a good amount of change if i dont use it as a project.

not bad for 50 bucks.

Does anyone know what size the genesis 2 / X eye power jack is? center pin diameter as well as the outer contact?

Ive measured it but havent been able to find any power jacks in that size. there has to be an official size for it.

I havent been able to sell the extra xeye i have because the power jack is broken and it uses its own that has a different footprint from the genesis 2.

I just want to use a panel mount one but havent been able to get the size right.

I found the dimensions for this. Its a 1.7mm center pin with a 4.7mm outer shell. Mcm electronics carries a panel mount version.
