| Hey guys. Was wondering if anyone has got a hold of a RetroN 5 yet. I'm curious about how they sound this time around as the RetroN 3 sounded kind of crappy. Also, it seems to have HDMI upscaling? O.o Not sure how well that is gonna look in a $100 system. | |

| as far as modern clone systems go i think the hdmi nes from retrousb will be the best bet.
Its an entire nes replicated in an Fpga. should be as close to accurate as it can be if its written well.

| The RetroN 5 has some really nice features on it though. Particularly the upgradable firmware that customers will have access to. Developers even hint at it being able to play ROMs with custom firmware. A plus for romhacks. | |

now Im actually looking forward to the retron 5 in a way. mabeye they will finally get it right with the retron 5 because it has upgradable firmware. the last few retrons havent been so good because they are just the same old nintendo on a chip designs that all the clone makers have been using forever. | |
