Need some help with Street Fighter 2 CE Hacks

I been reading all about Drakons Hacks and how they are not complete on MAME and how he has hacked them and acquired the correct files and think they are great to watch

but I would love to try them myself

does anyone know where I can get the Shen Long 7.3 hack files from as the links are dead and which rom files goes to which bank on the actual PCB


Also if anyone can give me some info on getting the original Rainbow Edition and M5 Hack Files and again which roms go into which bank that would be great

and also I cant seems to get red wave to work, so any help there appreciated

M5 is long gone I turned it into sheng long.  In the zip should be a text file with my very random rom hacking notes. Red wave may not work, I honestly don't care enough about that hack to figure out why.

tbh im also not overly fussed about red wave. the m5 would have been nice but I see the shen long one you made is so much more involved.

I just wanted to burn a load of EPROMS to keep and switch as I pleased

All that's important is that yo use 512k 16bit eproms.

ive gotten some progress here

and your right not that great hacks but RED WAVE and v400 I've managed to get working

I was wondering is where about do I need to split the M5 interleaved file

"Interleaved" means the file is already split.  You need to recombine it.  I used some random dos based program I found on google that recombines interleaved files.  M5 was released on a custom pcb that used somewhat different hardware.  Differences of the hardware can be found by reading cps1.c from the mame build.  To restore the programming changes for the different hardware I just copied blocks of changed hex from the sf2 ce build that hack was based on until I found the hex chunks that restored the programming for it to run on a regular cps1 arcade board.

sorry what I ment to say was I joined the files with interleave and saw you mention you split them at the right spot

I know your hack is good but I'd like an original m5 to run on cps aswell

btw I saw on another thread that you doing the m5 was a big thing and the fact you deleted the files is quite sad it was a real achievement on your part

so much so I really am struggling to sort it

Well those files are long gone so I guess this is a chance for you to recreate my work.
