Hes delayed superfx for now. Hes going to work on all the other stuff first like SA-1 and game genie support.

| I'd be really excited to see superfx support going on it. As good as my overclock mod might be it would always be nice to have the ability to clock even faster than the real hardware can go at. | |

Superfx is completely doable on it but what he said in his update is that its very complicated and hes been having problems with it so for a while hes going to try something else and go back to it. at least there was a minor release for it and its still being updated. By the way it works better than the powerpak does and already runs more stuff. the powerpak wont run on clones or 1-chips and the sd2snes will run on almost anything i plug it into.

| Thats the Demo of the game Imperium. most games are majorly glitched like this on my powerpak + 1-chip. works fine on a non 1-chip. | |

| more updates. theres an update preview on the sd2snes website now. the final version should be out soon.
he fixed compatibility with a bunch of games and its getting in game button functions and cheat support.
hopefully SA-1 will be next since thats the next unfinished expansion chip that has lots of games that use it.

| on my powerpak its basically most games that have glitches like that on a 1-chip. the sd2snes is unaffected. ive tried it on several 1-chip consoles.
i sent it back to bunnyboy to test and he didnt find anything wrong with it.

| Maybe it's a fault with the programming of the powerpak mappers? I find my nes powerpak mappers don't run reliably at all. This is why I prefer using krikzz flash devices and the sd2snes. | |

| sd2snes 1.7 preview 3 is out.
its just mainly a bugfix. he had to re-write a lot of stuff to add all the new features that will be in the final 1.7.
I decided right now its not worth the effort im just going to get the final 1.7 when it comes out.
ive stuck with 1.6 because it just works great.

many bugfixes. Cheat code support. extensive in-game menus, better bsx emulation, and a lot of improvements to the code. game genie codes cant be implemented soon enough! but i really hope in this update he implements the usb port. it would also be nice to get sa-1 working. that would be a nice surprise.

| SA-1 would be amazing. I'd really love to see superfx get done with some sort of overclocking support. The real cartridges don't overclock as fast as I'd like them to. Real superfx chips do eventually die too which is another issue. | |

Ikari stopped working on superfx for now. according to him it is the most difficult chip to implement so he is going to try and get other stuff working first.

I totally understand that. It's very complicated. I just hope someday someone makes a fpga superfx so we can hopefully break all overclocking speed limits that my current mod with the original hardware has.

Ive been running it for a bit and everything seems to be working sofar. one nice feature the preview adds is you can now reset the game to the menu by pressing L+R+SELECT+X.

| I'd love to see an update that saves your game progress by tapping reset when playing a msu-1 game. With my current OS msu-1 games don't save unless I hold reset for a few seconds which is really annoying. | |

| the in game reset was needed. I had already fixed that problem by using an x10 remote with my snes. but the in game reset is more convienent. | |

| I don't mind getting up to press reset. I just don't like the idea that if I don't hold reset for long enough my save data will be lost. | |

| yeah, thats a pain. that was the only really annoying "feature" of the snes powerpak.
but also - On my Gdsf7 ive had forever, if i didnt boot to the menu and write my saveram to a floppy right away it would get erased next time i loaded a game with a save feature.
otherwise that was a great unit.
