Original worklog:

This's a work in progress. I've been rebuilding my twin famicom using all the new tricks I learned since I last worked on this beast. There's a bunch of stuff I installed last time I worked on it such as the n64 multi av port on the side and the swapped expansion port with a standard connector.

Here's the top of the pcb with some wires left loose for audio stuff which isn't wired up yet:

Here's where the rgb / s-video / audio upgrade kit is installed:

Unfortunately distance between the ppu and the video encoder increases video jailbars. Therefore I needed to relocate the entire 40 pin ppu socket in order to get the video output completely jailbar free.

Here's the relocated ppu socket:

And last but not least, what it's all about:

Yeah it's a thing of beauty.

I'm going to work on the audio wiring using a new trick to remove the low pass filtering on the built in audio circuit thanks to ace. If audio is all good I plan on wiring the controller connectors into nes controller ports so I can use a regular dog bone controller on this thing.

Progress:

Rebuilt twin famicom MD8do98

Rebuilt twin famicom Y2Q4JO7

Rebuilt twin famicom Vmc2Rw6

Rebuilt twin famicom C6Nqmds

Currently there's two audio circuits selectable by a switch. Default audio circuit with the low pass filter removed and the f-labo circuit which I may tweak later. I wired nes controller ports into it too.

A wonderful idea by skips:

I didn't wire up the special controller connections, I probably should have.
