Bands have been doing live video game songs for quite a while now. But like any great idea they've slowly been getting better and better at it. It's even cooler when the band is completely made up of just....fans and not hired by a video game company like sega sound team. This next video blew me away so much I think it deserves its own thread because it's clearly a higher class than most live performed video game music I've found.
Man the start of this looks so hot....then they go too fast when brentalfloss joins in....d@mnit if they kept the same speed from the beginning it would have been better. This's still the coolest thing I'm ever going to see. What an AMAZING collaboration!!
And after some more searching I find out "the megas" are just better than anyone else:
Finally a band that makes the music more their own version instead of just playing it note-for-note.

Yeah I agree about the first video, if only the kept the same speed it would have been even better. Really enjoyed it though.
I'm intrigued by the Megas, it is fantastic that they make the music their own way.
I love this guys rock covers (VGMRawk), one of my favourites which I regularly check up on for updates:
Apart from his guitar playing which is awesome I also also like how he creates his own backing tracks to complement his version.
