A forum to show appreciation and respect for classic video game systems and games. Whether you're a modder, a programmer, or just a collector, this forum is about appreciating classic games and systems in a constructive community environment.
The system came in today and I'm more then pleased. This is the apex of famicom mods and I recommend that any one who is into famicom gaming to just spend the money and make it happen. I have the system hooked up via scart to a Sony Pvm 2530 and I'm getting pure rgb and the colors are the best possible and the picture is perfect. The advanced audio is definitely better then the standard audio even though it's hard to decide when you hear the YouTube demos but when you hear it with your own ears and switch back and forth you instantly know that there's no going back to standard and I cant believe that I almost didn't go with the audio upgrade. Join the elite. Thanks again Drakon
Just wanted to say how happy I am with my system compared to the modded toaster I had. The toaster suffered from buzzing audio and horrible jailbars. The system I got from you is literally 100% perfect.
Here is a link to some photo bucket pictures of my new Jamma NES unit. This thing is freakin' awesome! I cannot believe how clear the pictures is and the improved sound is great in the Blast City cabinet. These pictures do not due the unit justice (my camera is not the best). I could not be happier with this unit. Well worth the time and money. Dom did a fantastic job and kept me updated every step of the way with posts, pictutes and videos. This unit is now one of my most prized possessions. Thanks again Dom!

I think I posted this same question at the old forum by mistake, so i will ask it here again. Drakon, do you have a list of your prices for all the mods you offer?

I've noticed you can place the switch in different spots on the AV famicom, is there enough room to put one in the back of the console near the other i/o ports?

I did that on my personal av famicom but it was an exceptionally tight fit which almost damaged a screw mount for the top half of the case. Therefore I only offer to install it near the front due to space constraints.
The nes 2 would use a small audio switch as the system has less audio connections to restore so I probably can get away with installing a audio switch in the back of the nes 2.

I am going to start trying to track down the PPU chip and see if I can find a deal on a nice AV famciom. Do you have any recommended RGB cable vendors?

No I actually stopped using rgb ages ago as the s-video that comes from the kit I install is quite perfect (and soon might become even more perfect if my encoder upgrade mod goes well)
Here's a picture of the s-video quality from the kit right now
Glad you're looking for an av famicom as that system works with everything and already comes with a multi av port. If you can put up with using a nes to famicom adapter to play your nes games it's really the best system out there.
