| I've been re-doing a lot of my older mod work in systems. When working in my 32x I found the s-video wasn't satisfactory enough for me. I played around with the circuit design and managed to further improve on the circuit / mod to have a clearer image: This is most likely the clearest s-video from a genesis will ever get. As you can see this is a huge improvement over the older mods. The custom rohm encoder found in the 32x handles genesis interference better than other encoders. The colours aren't as nice but that's a small price to pay for an image with far less interference.

| I mucked around some more with the new circuit for the 32x encoder, I changed a number of things. I fixed the colours / tint being off. I found a way to make the colours brighter. The Jailbars are now even weaker. The jailbars are as weak as an external rgb to component adapter so I consider that issue pretty much solved. Since the colours are stronger the rainbow banding is stronger too. I suppose I could always add a stronger resistor to chroma to weaken the rainbow banding if that ever bugs me, the downside to this is it would also make the beautiful vibrant colours more washed out: | |
