You can just buy something like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-SCART-RGB-to-YUV-Component-Video-Converter-/231111808926?pt=US_Audio_Cables_Adapters&hash=item35cf56579e

I got a box like this from ebay and it works great.

Also I already sent krikzz a pm about the audio being way too quiet but he never replied.

yeah i already have one of those. I want to build one that has a built in encoder.

the idea is that someone could just hook it up with no extra boxes and it would work. I want to build one of these for a friend.

do you have any idea which ic they are using in the jrok?

You want to internalize it?  just buy one of these boxes, take the pcb out of the box, remove the large connectors, and wire it up inside the console. I work mostly with s-video I haven't spent much time with component. Normally for component people just buy that box and wire it into a rgb switch.

Well, Im happy. I just found my composite ppu for the original scart rp2c03 toaster i i have. I didnt throw it away like i thought and now can install a nesrgb in it.

Btw, my s-video is too bright on my nesrgb. all i need is a couple resistors on chroma and luma to fix it.

What value should i start with?

I just got a notice from tim saying that my nesrgb order #2 has shipped.

Also - theres a guy in the shmups forum talking about making new molded snes-style multi-out back panels for the toploader nes.
I would definately be interested in some if they become available.
