| Recently gamecube software hackers have found a way to set the gameboy player to run in 240p. Here's the image quality difference between 240p (new) nad 480p (original default): Taken from here: http://retrorgb.com/gameboyplayer.html To get this going you need a gamecube wired into a wiikey fusion or something that can run the swiss software. I have a wiikey fusion installed into my gamecube so I'm going to load the new version of swiss and see if this works over s-video. I want to find out if I can donate to these wonderful people and then do so. | |

is the wiikey much faster? Wiikey fusion replaces the entire dvd drive with a fpga, yes it's much faster.

| theres a guy who made a membrane pcb called the megadrive for the wiikey. it installs into the gamecube with no wiring nessecary. i dont know if you know about it or not. it also keeps the dvd drive. it turns the install into basically a plug and play deal. Wiikey fusion replaces the entire dvd drive with a fpga, yes it's much faster.[/quote] | |

I was incorrect about the megadrivebeing completely plug and play. it does allow you to keep the cd drive, but it requires you to un-solder the cd drive connector and then solder it to the megadrive.

| Okay then, not sure why you wouldn't want to be able to choose what you want to run. | |
