This looks pretty amazing, I might try to do one of these soon! I have all AVR programmers at school and the person who made the video gave pretty detailed instructions along with a parts list.

You're lucky to have options. We do have radio shack over here, but they don't have any variety. I'll try ebay and maybe digikey too.
Yeah but guess what....I can't buy a desoldering iron here. I live in canada's largest city and stores don't sell desoldering irons. All I could find were plastic solder pumps that did more damage than desoldering. I had to get friends / clients in america to buy and mail me a radio shack desodlering iron and replacement heads because radioshack only ships within the states....
I'm looking for speed and efficiency. I never had much luck with the radio shack one, but i will give it another go next time I need to desolder. Its a luxury item, what dreams are made of!

Oh okay. I found the radioshack iron works when the head is new enough but the heads need replacing very frequently.
